چکیده
The tomato crop is exposed to serious losses due infection with several diseases and pests, which threaten production in Egypt worldwide. Therefore, selecting the germplasm resistant a specific pathogen by molecular markers closely linked resistance loci desirable goal of this study. In work, seven co-dominant targeting six genes (I-1, Ve, Ph3, Cf-9/Cf-4, Rx4, Pto) for main [ fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici), verticillium (Verticillium dahliae V. alboatrum), late blight (Phytophthora infestans), leaf mold (Cladosporium fulvum), bacterial spot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria) speck (Pseudomonas syringae tomato)], respectively were determined. Theses differentiated among 19 genotypes (homozygote/heterozygote) susceptible (homozygote) pathogens. study supplied us novel lines multiple diseases, their pyramiding inside domesticated cultivars are suggested apply breeding programs against fungal diseases.

Marker-assisted Selection for Combining Resistance to Bacterial Spot and Bacterial Speck in Tomato
The lack of resistance to bacterial diseases increases both the fi nancial cost and environmental impact of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) production while reducing yield and quality. Because several bacterial diseases can be present in the same fi eld, developing varieties with resistance to multiple diseases is a desirable goal. Bacterial spot (caused by four Xanthomonas Dowson specie...

Biological control agents are useful components in the enhancement of plant disease resistance and improvement of soil properties. Effect of biological control agents (BCAs) as a disease control method in plants is hampered by their vulnerability to environmental and edaphic conditions. This study entailed the use of chitosan-silica nanocomposites for delivery of BCAs. Effect of BCAs-nanocompos...

Bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum is a disease of widespread economic importance that affects numerous plant species, including Arabidopsis thaliana. We describe a pathosystem between A. thaliana and biovar 3 phylotype I strain BCCF402 of R. solanacearum isolated from Eucalyptus trees. A. thaliana accession Be-0 was susceptible and accession Kil-0 was tolerant. Kil-0 exhibited no ...

متن کاملMarker assisted characterization of wilt resistance in productive Chickpea genotypes
Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris is one of the most wide spread disease of chickpea (Cicer arietinum). Studies indicated two major independent loci H1 and H2 determine the resistance to race-1 in chickpea. The dominant alleles at both H1 and H2 loci result in susceptible early wilting and recessive at any one (h1h1H2_ or H1_h2h2) produce susceptible late wilting and rec...
